NPAQ Easter Camp 2020 (Cancelled)

Details: The Easter Camp for 2020 will be held in the Kenilworth Maleny area, just over 2 hours drive from Brisbane. For those who enjoy longer and challenging walks, the areas provides a wide range of activities in Conondale National Park and Imbil State Forest near the campsite to exploring tracks in Kondililla and Mapleton National Parks a little further afield. The Conondale Great Walk is an option for those who would like to spend 4 days of solid walking.
For those who prefer more relaxed and social activities, the towns in the area provide lots of opportunities to shop, enjoy a coffee or a meal as well as botanical gardens, picnic areas and scenic drives. Townships include Kenilworth (cheese factory), Maleny (botanical gardens, Mary Cairncross Gardens, Town walks, cheese factory), Montville (shopping Mecca) Kondalilla National Park and Mapleton (coffee, Mapleton Falls, walks).
Cambroon Caravan Park has all amenities (toilets, hot showers, free laundry, fire places) including 2 self-contained cabins, each sleeping at least 4 people with 2 more currently undergoing renovations. It has a mini “zoo” and the daily feeding is included in the camp fees. The Jurassic Trail is an onsite walk through the native bush from the caravan park. A courtesy bus is available from the Kenilworth Hotel for our traditional dinner night. (Pay when ordering.)
Activities Program A program of activities will be planned and distributed to nominees prior to the camp. The program will include walks, drives, dinner on Saturday night at the Kenilworth Hotel
Campers Our camp has been allocated an area from Thursday to Tuesday near one of the dams. Powered sites are available nearby if required. A deposit has been paid to retain the booking. Please pay for your site when you nominate for the camp via NPAQ Website. To simplify the bookings, the prices below are per person per night.
Costs: (A discount has been applied to our group booking)
Powered site: – $18.00 per person per night.
Unpowered Site: – $15.00 per person per night
Children (3-6 years old): – $5.00per child per night

Cabins Please make your cabin booking directly with the caravan park. As each cabin sleeps a number of people, it is suggested your “cabin-pool” with another couple or more to defray costs. It is suggested this be done promptly as they may be taken up quite quickly. A 50% deposit will be required to secure your booking.

Additional Coasts In addition to your caravan park charges, please include an additional $2.50 per day per adult attending for a maximum of 4 days. This will cover the $2.00 per day NPAQ Outing Fee plus 50c per day for onsite firewood and other costs incurred by leaders such as paper, phone calls, etc.
Campers: please add this to your site fees when you nominate.
Cabin Occupants: please pay these fees to NPAQ when you nominate but remember, charges for the cabins are paid directly to the caravan park.
Nominations: Please nominate via NPAQ’s Website by Tuesday, 31 March so our treasurer has time to do the calculations and draw a cheque to cover the balance of the campsite bookings. Participants staying in cabins should nominate via the website but pay for their cabin directly to the caravan park owners. Please note in the Comments box on the nomination form, what you are paying for. E.G., 2 Adults, 4 nights, unpowered site +NPAQ fees – $130.00
