The 3 Jetty ride follows the paths and boardwalks from Shorncliffe to Scarborough Marina along the shores of Moreton Bay passing trough Woody Point and Redcliffe.

Meeting place is Decker Park for a BYO coffee/morning tea (Shade & Toilets available) before heading across the Ted Smout Bridge (Hornibrook Highway) to Woody Point Jetty. Turning north, the route follows the esplanade to Redcliffe jetty for a short break before continuing northwards to Scarborough Marina and Thurecht Park. Ride Report

After meeting at Decker Park for coffee and introductions, nine cyclists hit the cycle path for Scarborough under cloudy skies. Fine weather prevailed as the riders passed over over the Ted Smout Bridge, stopped briefly at the Woody Point Jetty and the wreck of the old navy ship, HMQS Gayundah, with a walk along the Redcliffe Pier. Then it was on to Scarborough for lunch from Morgan’s Seafoods in Thurecht Park.

Five minutes after leaving Thurecht Park, rain fell, lasting until the Redcliffe Pier where the group waited under cover while the shower passed. All too soon, riders were safely back at Decker Park to change and load bikes before heading home expressing hope for another ride in the future.
