Superb fairy-wrens (Malurus cyaneus) are found throughout eastern Australia and Tasmania, and even to the south-eastern corner of South Australia. They live in most habitat types where suitable dense cover and low shrubs occur and hunt for insects and other small arthropods in community groups, usually of a dominant male and his harem of females.
