Thank you for your interest in volunteering for NPAQ and QPWS&P's Parks Connect Program as a Junior Ranger Assistant. Assistants will be helping with Junior Ranger events that are mostly based at QPWS&P Gateway Visitor Centres.

While a driver licence may not be necessary if you live close to the park/centre you wish to volunteer at and can use public transport, if you wish to assist as an activity leader in SEQ national parks, a driver licence will be helpful. You will NOT be required to drive anyone else anywhere.

Ideally, we are seeking volunteers who can commit monthly or to assisting with at least 2 events per school holiday period for 12 months.

Most Junior Ranger activities will operate from the QPWS&P Gateway Visitor Centres, but there may be some occasions to add activities in national parks, reserves or local parks. Please advise your ability to attend these locations.

A blue card is necessary for this volunteering opportunity. If you do not have one, however, we may be able to help you obtain one.
