Have you ever wanted to try bird watching?

These school holidays, join NPAQ and Birdlife Southern Queensland as we bring you an introduction to bird watching. Birdlife Southern Queensland volunteers and bird watching veterans will be guiding small groups around the Oxley Creek Commons area to get a taste for bird watching.

Birdlife volunteers will be sharing their local knowledge and expertise, and they will also be providing binoculars for the children to use for the event and teaching them how to use them.

Bird watching is not only a great activity to appreciate nature, it also assists in citizen science research to help protect vulnerable and endangered species.
