NPAQ’s Annual Dinner is a highly anticipated event that celebrates the accomplishments of the organisation and its members in their conservation endeavours. Held in Brisbane city, it provides an evening of inspiration, connection, education and entertainment. More than just a celebration, it is also an opportunity to raise funds to support ongoing conservation efforts.

Some 30 people attended NPAQ’s Annual Dinner and enjoyed the good food and cheer at Royal on the Park, Brisbane, on Friday 7 June.

We were delighted to host our members and special guests, including QPWS senior staff, Pat Comben – the former Minister for the Environment and Heritage (1989–1992) – and Sally Driml from the University of Queensland.

Thank you also to our speakers, former NPAQ presidents Tony O’Brien and Graeme Bartrim, for their insightful speeches. We were also proud to welcome seven new NPAQ life members, whose names will be inscribed on our lifetime honours plaque.

Thanks also to Binna Burra Lodge and O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat for providing wonderful raffle prizes.
