Unfortunately, NPAQ’s Council has made the difficult decision to cancel our 2026 Annual Dinner. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
In part, this decision is due to increasing overhead costs for this event, poor early bookings and dwindling attendance year on year as cost of living pressures bite, but we also realised that we need to know more about what YOU think about NPAQ events and how we can better tailor them to suit your needs and lifestyles.
A dinner provides a great opportunity to reflect, chat, network, and raise a glass to those who help us in our mission to promote National Parks and protected areas, but it is an expense that doesn’t always return on NPAQ’s investment. We believe there may be better ways to connect with members during daytime events, such as at lunches, breakfasts, member meetings, AGMs, debates or forms, or at our Romeo Lahey Memorial Lecture series – or even at informal, casual drinks and catch-ups.
Since Covid, many conservation not-for-profits like NPAQ have seen a decline in attendance rates and memberships. We’re keen to tease out why. Please help us plan our annual events calendar by completing our short survey.
We’ve enjoyed successive Annual Dinners, but we’re also seeking new, inexpensive ways to connect with members and supporters.
