It is a few years since we last visited this lovely reserve. The reserve includes woodland, grassland, and wetland areas close to Tingalpa Creek; as well as, intersecting Lota Creek. Bird life in the reserve gives a good variety of birds. After the recent floods, some areas along Lota Creek could be soft and mushy, appropriate footwear is recommended.
Directions: From Rickett Road turn north into Chelsea Road. UBD 163 M17 This is a dead-end section of Chelsea Road. The “signposted” entrance to the Mookin-Bah Reserve is on the left between private acreage properties approximately halfway along this stretch of road. Parking is on the grassed verge.
