Birdwatching 2023-02-19 Ross Rd Parkland, Upper Kedron

What a wonderful day, 9 people arrived at Ross Road for our 7.30 am birdwatching walk. We visited this site several years ago after heavy rains had scoured out the creek. Today, the growth along the creek banks was thick and full of bird calls particularly wrens.
One thing of interest was the growth of the trees and shrubs that the council had planted over the years. Many of these plants and trees were in flower bringing in many birds.
The dam levels were down a little and some water birds were present. The water lilies fringing several dams were picturesque and the tree reflections in the water were eye catching.
This was an easy walk along the well-kept mowed pathways.
42 birds were sighted.
We all then relocated to a nearby park where we enjoyed a late morning tea followed by lunch. After a catchup of Grandchildren and illnesses we all headed for our homes and a rest.
A great day was enjoyed by all.
