This is a pleasant walk through the eucalyptus and tea tree forest around Nudgee Waterhole. Many bush and water birds have been sighted on our previous walks.
Nudgee Waterhole is on the Corner of Nudgee Rd and Childs Rd, we will meet at the carpark off Nudgee Rd. This is close to the exit off the Gateway Motorway. Refer UBD map 121 K9. -27.3749507, 153.0960255
If travelling north or south on the Gateway Motorway exit after exit sign 112 marked “Nudgee Rd” / “Nudgee Beach” / “Nudgee”.
There are no toilets in the park, but they are available at the nearby Shell service station, Nudgee Beach Boat Ramp, or Nudgee Beach.
Following this walk we will move down to Nudgee Beach for cooling breezes and park at the northern end of O’Quinn Street near the beach for morning tea at UBD map 111 L15 -27.3749507, 153.0960255. We can then walk on the raised boardwalk along the bank of Nudgee Creek. People wishing to can remain for lunch.
Bring: – Hat, sunglasses, sunburn cream, personal first aid kit, enclosed shoes, binoculars, camera, chair, insect repellent, soap, hand sanitizer, face mask, morning tea, lunch, and any other necessary personal items.
