Glenlogan Lakes Bird Watching

This will be our first visit to this park. There are two lakes, one lake has a circuit walk on a well defined path. We should see both bush and water birds on this circuit walk. The second lake is more open where we should also see both bush and water birds. There are shelter sheds where we can have morning tea; however, there are no toilets at the park.

7.30am St Jude Cct, Jimboomba UBD 302 C 15 – 27°49’36.7″S 153°00’03.8″E

Directions
Take the Mt Lindsay Highway (13). Just before Jimboomba (after Camp Cable Rd on your left) there is a set of traffic lights (H14) to Johanna Street, turn right into Johanna Street. Follow Johanna Street to the round-a-bout (G16). At the round-a-bout turn right into Cusack La. Continue along Cusack La past the sports grounds and turn left into St Jude Circuit (D14). Proceed along St Jude Circuit and turn right into the Park with a sign post marked “Glenlogan Lakes Park”. Parking is available inside the park. There are toilets a few kms from the park on Cusack La at the Jimboomba Lions Park (C13) where we will have lunch.

What to bring
binoculars, hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, water, chair, morning tea and lunch (optional).
