Crimson rosellas are commonly found in tall eucalypt and wetter rainforests in Queensland and their main diet consists of seeds, grasses, shrubs and blossoms. They are often attracted to garden seed trays. Baby crimson rosellas are actually olive in colour. Their red adult red plumage develops after about a year and a half.
