We’re Passionate About Parks

NPAQ advocates for the protection, expansion, effective management and presentation of national parks. We celebrate getting kids out into our parks and reserves, and we operate Junior Ranger school holiday programs in collaboration with Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) gateway visitor centres – David Fleay Wildlife Park and Walkabout Creek Discovery Centre, as well offering NPAQ bushwalking, outdoor recreation and volunteer campground host activity programs, and opportunities to participate in community conservation and Citizen Science projects. We support the development and application of scientific and professional knowledge in advancing national parks, protected areas and nature conservation.

Go wild with Parks Connect Programs …

NPAQ has received a grant from the Department of the Environment, Tourism, Science and Innovation to work with the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) to deliver an exciting Parks Connect program, including Junior Ranger events and Cadet Ranger events, throughout South East Queensland in 2025.

Junior Ranger events will run at two QPWS Gateway Visitor Centres:

‘Roaming’ Parks Connect Junior Ranger and Cadet Ranger events will run in select SEQ parks as part of Park of the Month celebrations later this year.
