One of the specialist activity groups is the birdwatching outings. This is an active group of members which has a number of outings each year as shown in the calendar, conducted under the umbrella of the Outings Committee.The walks are either arranged by a leader as a separate meet or conducted in conjunction with a general bushwalking outing. The venues selected are generally to places of special interest where there is a variety of birds to observe. A list of sightings is recorded for each outing.
Eagleby Wetlands consists of lagoons and bushland bordered by Olivers Sports Complex, Albert River, and the Sewage Treatment Plant. With the recent rain, hopefully, the lagoons will have water.
