Author: Mary Anne Ryan

Boondall Wetlands is Brisbane’s largest wetlands covering around 1150 hectares between Nudgee Beach and Shorncliffe.  Walking along the boardwalk on the Billai dhagun Circuit  will take us through a variety of vegetation types, including a she-oak forest,   The boardwalk takes us to the  birdhide at the junction of Nundah and Cabbage Tree creeks.  This viewing spot should afford an opportunity to see a variety of  waterbirds.  Boondall Wetlands Environment Centre, close by the car park, opens Sunday mornings until 12MD and visitors are invited to peruse the Centre.
