    There is no place in any national park for private development, I’m incredulous that of all the places that should be untouched Poona lake has been earmarked, this perched lake is a virtual closed catchment and the last place you would place such a development. That area is also at high risk in a wildfire and always carries an extremely high fuel load.
    This must not happen on any condition.
    I was the first ranger in charge of Cooloola National Park and I can’t believe the supporters of this concept have lost the whole notion of what a national park stands for, go back and study the founding documents our forerunners laid down for the future protection of theses site.
